se hablan lachixío zapoteco (lchc); i elicited several words from a; woman while giving her a ride from san vicente (where she went to sell; tortillas) to san pedro (not very systematic elliciation but they've kept; their word initial /g/'s and have /u/ where lch has /o/. [gula biche]; 'zopilote'. there is said to be another; dialect spoken closer to zimatlan (a much greater distance than these; dialects are from each other). i'd like to hear it.]ms97. i did in 1998. asuncióm mixtepec which has many contact features with the solteco group but enough grammatical and lexical similarities to ayoquesco that i think it is related to that valley dialect.
